April 2, 2008 - Leveraging the talent within: VisionTEK has restructured its workforce
In an effort to focus on new product development and industry technologies, VisionTEK has reorganized its operations team. The operations team now falls under the direction of Sheri Sarno, Vice President of Operations.
Jennifer Downing is the new Quality Assurance and Configuration Management Manager, with responsibility for all Quality Assurance and Configuration Management activities for VisionTEK. The operations team is thrilled to have Jennifer back in this role. Her attention to detail, technical acumen and depth of experience with VisionTEK products will ensure both aspects of the organization continue to follow best practices and utilize state of the art technologies to ensure delivery of quality products to our customers.
Justyn Davidson now leads the New Product Development Engineering team. The New Product Development Engineering team is making tremendous progress in the development of new products and applications for VisionTEK. This team has been chartered with developing:
- Next generation FrontLine Querying, Messaging and Mapping
- Handheld application for first responder query access
- eCitation for handheld devices
- Next generation field reporting, including agency-customizable forms and toolkit
VisionTEK promoted Ray Lujan to Project Engineering Manager. Ray’s extensive background with software development, management and VisionTEK applications, makes him the perfect candidate for this position. The Project Engineering team will focus their efforts on project development, product enhancements, customer change orders, and improved customer support.
The Customer Satisfaction team is honored to have Melissa Robbins officially transition from the Engineering department to their team as Customer Support Engineer. Working directly with the Customer Satisfaction team, as a dedicated resource, enables VisionTEK to expeditiously respond to customer issues, obtain clarity, and implement resolutions quickly. This organizational change enables VisionTEK to continue to direct efforts toward world class customer service and ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction is obtained.
Dec 18, 2007 - Brent Johnson is promoted to VisionTEK Customer Service Manager
VisionTEK is pleased to announce Brent Johnson’s promotion from Senior Field Engineer to Customer Service Manager.
For over three years, Brent Johnson has provided exceptional customer support to VisionTEK customers – remotely and on site. Brent’s hard work, attention to detail, and deft handling of customer requests made his ascension to Customer Service Manager, a natural fit.
His philosophy of customer service mirrors that of VisionTEK: Sound customer relationships are a requirement in this industry and a cornerstone to our corporate philosophy.
Brent will continue to focus his efforts toward world class customer service and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction is obtained. As the new VisionTEK Customer Service Manager, he is responsible for managing customer service, technical support, installation documentation, customer issue management and customer software release management.

VisionTek is pleased to announce two new additions to the VisionTEK team. Scott Sisman, National Sales Director, and Randy Pierce, Senior Software Engineer.
Scott Sisman, National Sales Director
Scott comes to VisionTEK with over 10 years of experience in public safety software sales. He is a top performing sales professional who has achieved success selling complex public safety and first responder solutions including software/hardware, systems integration, and other value add services including ROI analysis. Scott has won numerous sales awards including Presidents Club, Commander’s Club and Salesperson of the Year.
Randy Pierce, Senior Software Engineer
Randy brings 28 years of technical expertise to VisionTEK. Randy is skilled in C, C++, Java, Perl, various shell languages, and Javascript with extensive experience with servlets and java server pages. He has worked extensively with Linux and Windows and he has experience with Linux, Windows, network administration, Solaris, AIX, and HPUX. Randy spent the last 3 years at a high tech startup company that he and two others founded. Their primarily product was a virtual storage server.
